Since our inception in 1997 ClimateCare has been a pioneer in the voluntary carbon market. Over the years we’ve helped to promote high integrity, quality processes and robust standards. In 2007 ClimateCare, along with other leading companies in the industry, created and founded the International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance (ICROA). Its role is to promote Best Practise in the industry and ensure its members comply with the ICROA Code and only sell credits from approved standards.
ClimateCare is active in all voluntary carbon markets throughout the world, including the USA. As such we welcome the addition of the American Carbon Registry (ACR) to the list of approved Standards. While this addition brings the opportunity for greater project diversity to ClimateCare’s portfolio, and greater choice to our clients, it also highlights the importance of third party quality assurance in the voluntary carbon market. This assurance from ICROA gives greater comfort to buyers, both individuals and businesses, that voluntary carbon credits purchased from ClimateCare are the highest quality in the market. We look forward to incorporating ACR credits into our project portfolio.
