Powergen ‘Go Green’ with carbon offset gas

Green electricity products have been available for some time.  But what about gas?  After all it accounts for almost 75% of the average UK homes carbon footprint.

Despite being a relatively clean fossil fuel, compared to oil and coal, gas still produces carbon dioxide when burnt.  After doing what you can to reduce the amount of gas you use, the only way to take responsibility for the remaining carbon is to offset it.

So with the launch of Go Green – the UK’s first dual fuel product with 100% renewable electricity and 100% carbon offset gas – Powergen are providing a great low-carbon option for home energy.

The gas will be offset through Climate Care’s sustainable energy projects, providing funding for green technology around the world.
