What Car has taken a lead amongst the motoring world when it comes to taking responsibility for their impact on climate change. As part of What Car?'s ongoing commitment to 'greener' motoring they have offset their entire emissions with Climate Care. They calculated their emissions from electricity use, expected yearly motoring mileage for all its staff including road tests and expected air travel. The initiative is part of a wider drive to raise awareness of environmental alternatives as demonstrated by this month's supplement 'Going green'.
Group Editor of What Car? Steve Fowler said: 'For too long motoring organisations have stuck their heads in the sand when it comes to environmental issues. We believe we cannot ignore this any longer and that we have to do 'our bit', however small, to repair the damage to the environment. We encourage all individuals and companies to follow suit.'
Tom Morton, Managing Director of Climate Care said: 'We are delighted to work with What-Car? and help make their activities climate neutral. The automotive industry is central to our attempts to tackle climate change and for such key opinion shapers to take a leading role is a clear sign that the industry is starting to rise to the challenge.'
