1. Want to pay by debit or credit card?
Please click on the PayPal button to pay by credit or debit card. PayPal will then give you the option to pay by card.
2. Are you using Internet Explorer?
Recent upgrades mean Internet Explorer Version 11 may not allow you to move between tabs on the calculator, or reach the payment page. We are working on a solution to this. We recommend using Google Chrome or FireFox to avoid this issue. (Alternativley, you can correct this manually in Internet Explorer by going to Tools, selecting Compatability View Settings, entering the website 'climatecare.org' and choosing Add.)

The calculation for the volume of CO2 produced on your flight is based on a report commissioned from Oxford University's Environmental Change Institute.
It surveyed the science regarding aviation's impact on the climate, as well as the assumptions of type of aircraft, number of seats etc.

It surveyed the science regarding aviation's impact on the climate, as well as the assumptions of type of aircraft, number of seats etc. Please note this includes a multiplier of 2 to account for additional impacts of burning fossil fuels at altitude. This is applied only to the Cruise Climb Descent element of the flight.
For long-haul flights you can now increase your calculation accuracy by entering the stop-over city in the ‘via’ entry field. The calculator will then return the total emissions from the combined two flights.
