Are you a project developer?
ClimateCare is always seeking new projects and these come to us through a number of different sources. We supply both CERs and VERs for the compliance and voluntary markets, and are interested in hearing from you if you are looking for a partnership approach to developing projects.
We partner with project organisations in one of two ways:
- by providing investment to a project by developing the carbon asset.
- or by directly purchasing the emission reductions from the project.
Please note that we do not fund projects in the UK or Europe and we are not looking for further reforestation projects.
If you have a project you think we may be interested in funding, please send a brief description of it in an email to projects@climatecare.org. If the project is suitable, we will send you a more detailed application form to complete.
Developing the carbon asset
ClimateCare can invest in projects through the development of the carbon asset and the purchase of emission reductions. We work with project developers to realise the highest value from their carbon asset in a way that suits both their financial and risk management requirements.
We can assist our partners through every step in the process:
- Evaluate the emission reduction potential of your project.
- Prepare necessary documentation.
- Carry out local stakeholder consultation.
- Organise required third party evaluation and verification.
- Register the project with the relevant authorities.
- Purchase emission reductions on competitive terms.

Carbon Purchase
We purchase emission reductions directly from project developers, and are interested in both voluntary and compliance market credits. We look to purchase credits with the following criteria:
- High quality emission reductions.
- Volumes of 10,000 tonnes CO2 per annum or greater.
- Recent vintages, looking forwards.
